Get 'em RJ! You go girl!

Oh, I don't mean to be argumentative.  I'm just saying if I can't blame all my mistakes on the overbearing, bossy men I have known, then I think men should not be able to blame their mistakes on women.      I think that is fair; don't you?

p.s.  Thanks for the support, George.

I think Lee was really poking fun at the fact that men see a cute woman and become even more stupid than normal. LOL

I don't really think it's a Man vs Women thing persay....But I am a firm believer in "take what you want but eat what you take".

It's been that way for a long time though hasn't it.?......don't the "Biblical Scholars" blame Eve for the down fall of Adam?  Shameless!

>>>>I don't blame the women, I blame my perception of what I percieved to be what ultimately was my own mistake!
Does that make any sense, eh? <<<<<

Yes, it does!

Yes, George, or something like that.  My reply was not meant as a hostile action.  Goodness Gracious, we just got Lee back!

It doesn't always have to do with age. I'm going to turn 16 in two weeks and I drive 405hp to school every day and I haven't done anything stupid/shoming off. Honest(not in the 'vette atleast)

My apologies if I upset anyone with my comment.  And since I started this controversy I will explain my comment.  This is not a girl vs. guy thing.  An 18 year old guy driving that car would probably stood it on its nose in a really spectacular wreck.  In addition to not having any knowledge or experience about how to drive it, he would have had about 40 gallons of testosterone urging him to do something "spectacular."

In my considerable experience, guys usually do stupid things when they are trying to impress a girl, (this based on both an intimate knowledge of my past, and lately, watching my sons).  Its clear that usually when a guy does something really boneheaded, it's an attempt to impress a girl thatsomehow did not work as he expected.  I've had my share of these disasters, and I take full responsibility for them.  On the other hand, these ploys work often enough that its worth taking the chance:   While I made a fool of myself several times many years ago, I'm still married to the best of the lot -- so occasioally it's all worth it.

No, the real problem was I fired something back, and that I do regret!  I know there was no mal-intent in Lee's comment.

Unfortunately, I share the same experience with making bad decisions while being mesmerized by the opposite sex and just wanted to stick up for the females.

Oh, well, sometimes it is best not to say anything at all.  You would  think I would remember that fact after all these years.

Peace.

I don't think you upset anyone Lee. It's sometimes hard to tell tone in a post but I don't think anyone was offended. It's all in good fun with a hint of realism folded in. Cheers

I don't think you did either RJ. no worries.

GREAT post, Lee.  I, too, do not think anyone was upset by anything either you or Rita said...

I have to admit, each and every word of your post here rung true for me...  I remember being a teenager...  oh Lordy, that was some years ago now...  but, yeh, how many of the cars I owned experienced some form of brutal abuse, in an effort to catch the eye of a girl...  it wasn't until I was in my thirties that I started to realize the better way to attract (and thus landed the girl of my dreams, my soulmate) the fairer beings would  be to impress them with my stunning brilliance and sheer personality....

Yeh, that's a stretch, I know.
