When I purchased the car, the delivery guy told me the alarm is controlled by the remote lock opener. When I use it to open the door and then open the door it still goes off.
Any ideas?

There is a door open sensor on the back of the door that is black plastic, if it is stuck in, that might be causing your alarm problem.

Thanks for the reply, they all look good and seem to work. Where is the control located? I had to disconnect the horns in order to drive it.
Thanks

Mark,
is your alarm aftermarket?
Questions for others:
Did 1986 corvettes have remote control door locks?
Did the 1986 corvettes come with an alarm from GM other than VATS?

92 I thought came with factory alarms. I know for dang sure the 86 didnt. Just vats and electronic. I had a viper put on my old vette. It was a real annoyance. It kept going off and messing up because of the VATS. The two alarm systems kept fighting each other and caused more trouble than it was worth. I just got a battery guard, keep the doors locked and got limo tint. Lock nuts on my rims and security bolts holding down my box/speakers. Thats about the best I can do. If someone wants in my car bad enough then they will get in regardless of a alarm. I say screw all the alarm systems. To expensive and annoyances. I like the remote lock/unlock though. Thats convienient.
