2005 C6 top won't go up or down

Well,  big problems here...
I am in the process of replacing every stereo component in my 05 vert and for some reason
now the power top will not work.  I have a battery charger on it so the battery doesn't drain
during my process.
 
Problem - the power top will not go up or down.
I put the top down this morning,  and have been working on the car.
I went to put it up to get to the rear speakers,  and it won't budge.
Had to go the "manual" method per the owners manual,  now I cannot
even get the top down using manual method.
When I push the power top button,  nothing happens at all.  It's like
it is not even there.  No warning messages, etc...
 
Anyone out there have this problem before ?  Driving me nuts,  and I have been
in car electronics for 20 years....  Help !

I think that power top was a problem in the '05's.  A guy at my church had that happen once to his when he was showing us his car after he got it.  The dealer fixed the problem (under warrenty), I just can't remember what the actual problem was though.
