Yes, the LS3 is real and it has been pushed to 430hp (436hp with the optional exhaust):

Not sure what I expected, but I was hopin' for maybe a new body style, and some more horses.  505 is pretty good for a "stock" Vette, but I was thinkin' they'd maybe break 550 this next year. Still, our baby's are world class all the way!

Well they are still working on that "Super Vette" that is suppose to go into production in '09 I believe that will have 600-700 HP (can't remember which one).
