When I get set, up in Idaho, you're welcome to come up. Great fishin' and the best huntin' in North America.
More different types of game than even Alaska. Can't wait to get my first Elk. People don't even bat an eye at a gun rack in your pickup. Even when it's full of rifles. One of America's truely great, last frontiers.

loads of full salvage yards. fortunately they don't like crushin' them. There's a few here too. I love walking thru junk yards. I just got an old borg warner T10 for dirt cheap. and trying to talk this one guy out of an old 6 pack 413 wedge dodge. he says he gets more money for parts but nobody has gottin any parts from it yet. don't make sence. I told him thats all I want is parts...all of them.

Idaho sounds good. My cousin was telling me about someplace out there where they have their own version of the autobahn. no enforced speed limits. posted but not inforced.....wicked.

All across the Great Basin desert from Montana to Nevada and Idaho to Arizona you'll find roads like that. I been passed by smokey when I was doin' 80 +! They will cite ya for over 100 though. The roads are so straight and long between towns, they let you run hot, but you better cool down in town or they'll hang ya.
Which reminds me, got one for "True Stories"!

COUNT US IN, George!! Both me and Mrs. TopSpeed wanna spin the Vette south of the 49th one day, for a road trip. Maybe try to see what's left of Route 66, etc. LOVE the southern parts of the States; I swear to God that's where I'm from, just my momma decided to put some wierd "province" on my birth certificate instead of Alabama. My propensity for Jack Daniels, NASCAR and of course, classic American hot rods proves a mistake was made somewhere....
I can think of nothing I'd enjoy more'n comin' down yer way to hang out. Nothin'. I'll DEFINATELY tell Mrs. TopSpeed about this thread tonight and I have no doubt sometime in the next couple years you'll be seein' our ol' smily faces in yer driveway!

I have printed this thread off, and posted it on my walls in my office here. As a shrine. And a goal.
Dave, my dear friend, we'd LOVE to hook up with ya in the Starship there, an' roll a freight train across the great country!!
Man, I'm itchin' for a roadtrip. Mrs. TopSpeed and me keep talkin' about that, maybe next summer if things go well here, we might be able to do that.
I can think nothing better than hangin' with Vette friends, suppin' on some FFFFFFIIINE Tennessee Whiskey, and enjoyin' some good southern grub. Am I ever glad I found this place, and all you.

This is a great place, isn't it? Judgeing by the number of posts you two have I assumed you were long time members......but then I noticed the joind dates. I guess I'm just lame.
Ya'll comeon down for a visit. Lots of twisty roads and great family resturants. Three hours from the mountains to the east, 45 min. from Music City(Nashville) and all them pretty country singer gals), three hours from Tunica(little Vagas) MS. And all the mash you can drink.
The porch light's a burnin'.
