I recently bought a 2001 C5. My first Corvette. I want to replace the pads and rotors on all four corners. I've done it on other cars, but it's always a new experience. When I look at how to jack the car up per the owners manual.....it looks like the jack point is almost in the longitudinal center of the car?. How do I get the jack in there??????

Also....I understand that the rotors are easy.....just take out two bolts and remove the caliper, then the rotor just slips off the studs.

But, do I have to disassemble the caliper to get the new pads in??????

I've tried to get a Haynes or Chilton manual for guidance, but it seems the most recent edition they have for Corvettes stops with the C4.

I would appreciate any detailed information you can give me, or if you can recommend a good site .....

Thanks

Here is a decent guide:

Also, check here for reasons why I chose slotted rotors over plain (prone to uneven brake pad deposits and pulsating brake pedal) and drilled (prone to cracking):

That site seems to explain it all very well. I appreciate your help.
