I am 17 years old and I have always dreamed of having a c3 corvette. I finally found one I have fallen in love with and it only has 23,000 miles!! I have to sell my truck to get this so it would be my only means of transportation. This means I would be putting about 15,000 miles a year on it. I just need to know if this is gonna be dependable enough for me to drive every day or if it is going to be a maintinence nightmare. I know that I am going to lower the value by putting miles on it but that does not matter to me. I just don't want to have to only get to drive it on the road to the shop because it is no fun. Any words of wisdom?
Thanks a lot,
Smokeybear

This thing is perfect. It is a trophy winner with perfect interior. It has been stored in a heated garage in Minnesota. Anything else you need to know???

well, the L48 is one of the lower powered vettes, and prior to moving i had been helping a friend get his L48 76 vette on the road. problems that he had....the headlights wouldnt open, and one lags when they do. problems with the rear brake lines collapsing within themselves, which is an easy enough fix. also, leaking calipers, around the pistons, which just took a rebuild kit and some patience.
the power issue can be fixed easily enough with some aluminum heads, intake, and headers.
