Is your car overheating? If not, then chances are the fan is working properly. It is not supposed to come on all the time, except when your a/c is on. Has a coolant sensor that reaches a certain temp, say 220 degrees, which then closes the switch and gounds the fan relay (on left fender kinda under the master cylinder) to make fan work. If the fan works at all, probably is ok.

You said "here and there" then, "not at all". One way to check for fan control is turn on a/c and fan should come on within a few seconds. If not I would start by checking power to fan by unplugging fan connector and backprobe with a 12V test light clipped to ground on the frame or engine to see if you are getting power to fan with engine running and a/c on. Should be the red wire (I think, don't have a wiring diagram in front of me). If you have power, switch the clip on the test light to a battery source (either heavy wire on back of alternator or postive battery post), probe the other wire, black I think, if it lights the light, then you have a ground source. If you have a light on both terminals as I described, then the fan motor is bad. It is not real hard to pull, just have to remove a couple of things to get it out. Also, if you replace it, don't use a cheap one, get a good A/C Delco fan motor.

Thanks. I thought it was coming on here and there, but I was wrong and it doesn't come on at all. I guess the car had two fans? The on behind the ratiator and the one in front? I don't know if this is true or not. Its the big one behind the ratiator that doesn't work on mine.
Edit: I just tryed turning on my A/C and the fan did not come on.

That's the one you need to be concerned with, the front one works off the compressor relay to help cool the condenser for the a/c. Check your power and grounds as I described earlier.

Thanks, I will have to try and test it.
