I am not sure where to post this, so i hope this is the place. I have a 283 Chevy engine with the code as i can read it, F5I6D on the block. Can anyone give me info on this engine? i am wondering year of manufacture and if it is a Corvrette engine. Anything you can add will help and if you can point me in the direction of some info that would be good too. thanks

hmmm...i think that if you dont get any hits would be to check with a parts department, as they are likely to have engine id info.
