The plate under the hood says 6˚ DR, what is DR? how is this aligned from top dead center.

I have no idea what" DR" stands for, but if you are trying to set the timing on a L98, it should be set at 6 degrees BTDC (Before Top Dead Center) with the timing set connector disconnected.
Maybe someone else knows what DR stands for, I'm curious myself.
