Interior Paint

Anyone no of a source for interior paint to match the silver gray on the door sills and console of my '86 C4. I have some "Medium Gray" coming from Eastwood, but don't think it is going to match. Have some matching dye for the black pieces in the car, but can't seem to find the grayish silver metallic color for the sills and console.

I've got a 92 and all the black plastic interior parts are peeling. Do you have any ideas of ways to make it look better? I was thinking of very light sanding then useing interior paint to repaint the pieces. I open to other ideas.

I was told by a friend who has an upholstry shop to first scrub the pieces with Comet, then wipe them down with denatured alcohol being careful not to touch the surface you clean with your hands as they will leave a residue. I did that with mine and it turned out great.

Any particular brand or type of paint? I was thinking of going with a totally different color.

Check with your local auto paint store to see if they sell plastic dye, if not Eastwood has a good selection at www.eastwoodco.com
I forgot to mention, after you clean with comet, rinse first with clear water, let dry, then use denatured alcohol. Do not use any thinner or anything of that sort as it might react with the plastic or try to bleed out after you paint.

I've got it all written down. Thanks for the help. The only thing I cant figure out know is what to do about the lettering on the plastic piecies. i.e. lights,mirror,window, and such.

Any good paint store should be able to mix it for you and put it in a rattle can.
