The lady I bought my 79 from had bumped into her garage with the front of the car pushing the nose back a little bit (1/8 inch). This in turn pushed the body back a little and the when I turn the lights on, I have to get out and push the body down and the lights pop right up.  The lights rub the body on the back inside corner and the center of the body where it meets the hood is up about 1/4 inch.  How can I loosen the nose up and pull it back out.  I pulled the two grills out and looked up under the frame but for the life of me, I can not see what bolts to loosen up.  The nose and body are not cracked.  The haynes manual is not much help.  Any one have an idea.  The frame is not bent anywhere that I can see.

Thanks

Haynes, should stay with "underware".

The Chevrolet Corvette Shop Maunal, and the factory Assmbly Manual are both available from www.ecklers.com , and several other suppliers.
You can get them for your year of Vette.

Having the two, much better overall coverage of our babies.

I'll pick up the shop manual for the '74 too. Droppin' a 454 in an '80, I need the info, since the '80 only came with SB's.

Sounds like the front surround needs to be adjusted forward and down. I'll look at the 76 I have in my shop in the morning and see exactly how it is fastened and see if I can help. It should be relatively the same. Cheers

Just bought the corvette owners manual.  I go out to sea next week so I will be able to look at in a couple of weeks.  Thanks

Starship,   You stole my saying. LOL  That's exactly what I say when someone mentions Haynes Manuals.  Ofcourse they have some basic info, but lack any detail and have twenty different years and models all in the same manual, not to mention the set up of the manual sucks.  I have to say that they are better than having no manual at all, if that IS your only choice at the time and you're in need of a manual for basics,
