Hello Everyone,, I have two problems that I hope someone might help me with.. first is I think a low voltage issue.. I turn the key to the on position and all the light flicker, it wont turn over when it does this, if I turn the key off then back to the on Position sometimes it stops and all the lights come on like normal, then I can start the car.... my other question is when I start my car it automatically goes to 130 psi, I am assuming it is because the cold weather.. but want to ask you guys to make sure..I have a 2001 Z06.... I appreciate any help.. thank you

im in really cold weather and havent had problems with the psi as far as the light flickering goes maybe you should take your battery to get tested, it could be going bad.

What waight oil are you useing? as for the lights and not starting. as play said it could be the battery but if not...perhaps you ignition switch is faulty. does it matter how you hold the key? IE: different pressures. hope you find it. perhaps one of the smart guys will post. Lee and Mech will most likely know the answer.

Sounds like a voltage regulation problem, but without plugging in a scan tool capable of checking BCM (Body Control Module) readings, it will be hard to diagnose that one. BCM controls instrument panel as it gets inputs just like the ECM.

Thanks guys, its just driving me crazy right now.. but I was using royal purple 10w 30.. if I remember correctly.. I am due for a change soon.. but even in warm weather it is automatically jumping to 130.. I am new to the Vette... I came from the import scene from a boosted G35, just not used to the little things... I appreciate everything.. and anything else yall have to offer..

How long does it stay at 130. If the needle just swings over to 130 and then immediately falls it is no problem. If it hangs in for a while, something is amiss although probably not serious.

Yeah it stays at 130.. right when I turn the car on.. the digital dash says it as well...

See the link posted by Str8upChevy in the C5 forum titled "EXTREMELY USEFUL INFORMATION"

There's some info in there about high oil pressure as well as some info about strange electrical problems.

I would say go ahead and take care of the low voltage problem first, is the battery good, and will it hold a charge?
Did the oil pressure issue and the low voltage happen at the same time? Maybe they are related.

I'm sure your oil pressure is fine, and possibly could be a faulty sender. Just thrown a few more things out here to think about, sorry. I know how frustrating these kinds of things can be.
