Passive?

What does the passive switch on my remotes mean? I just purchased this car, I have order a new owners manual.

I think it is for just a remote lock and unlock without setting the alarm.

if the passive is on when you approch the car it will automatically unlock and when you walk away it will lock by itself

Thanks, that explains why my lights are constantly flashing when I walk around outside. I have now turned the passive feature off.
