The passive keyless entry system and the remote hatch on my 1996 LT4 stopped working after I reconnected the battery. When I try to reprogram it following the steps in the owners manual, I can't even get the PKE light on the dash to come on, nor does it come on when I first start the car. I checked all the fuses on the panel inside the passenger side door and they're OK. Seems like there's no power going to the receiver. I changed the battery in the transmitter but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

Did you ever find out what was wrong? I'm having the same problem. I have a new control coming. Hopefully it was the old control. Mike

I assume you have the programming instructions for the PKE. The ignition shud be in the "run" position & then the "lock" position. Sometimes it's possible to get the key in the wrong place.

There are 2 fuses for the PKE-#26 & #40.

Just a couple of thoughts.....   I would check to make sure there is power on both sides of the fuses in question.
