well got the new ride home & started cleaning it up. the power seats don't work & the power mirrors only partly work. where should i start? thanks for the help.

Well, first you need to check the circuit breakers for power seats and windows. Pull them out of the fuse panel and use an ohm meter to check continuity across the breakers, the check for key on voltage at the fuse panel. If they check good, you probably have a bad motor. On the windows, could be the same or the window regulator is bad. It is hard to say without some sort of disassembly.

Correction, sorry, I said window motors when you said power mirrors. Chances are the mirror actuators or motors are bad, had to replace both in my 86 when I got it.

thanks mech259 . where did you buy the mirror repair parts? i will deal with that soon. as far as my seat problem i replaced the seat breaker & the entire left side worked. the rt. side however does not. it is down & all the way back. so i think i will just live with an adjustable driver seat only.

I think I got them from Eckler's. It was about 3 years ago and, sad to say, with age comes forgetfulness.

what fuse is the power seat fuse?
what fuse is the lumbar cause my dont work?
i know where the fuse bos is (by the passenger sise dash)
but i dont see any fuse in there that says any thing about seats?

Power seats and windows are usually circuit breakers instead of a fuse.
