Hello, I have a horrible noise when I let off the accelerator and it is even worse when I back up. It is constant in reverse. Almose like a scrubbing sound. No noise whatsoever going down the road and more like a rattle only lasting a second or so when I let off. She is parked till I get her fixed, anyone have a clue? I checked the u-joints all 6, and they seem to be fine no play. Thank you for your help.

Usually when you get roaring when you let off the gas, you have pinion bearing problems, may be in for complete bearing replacement in the differential, if not a ring and pinion.

Anyone know a good fair differential mechanic in the east Tennessee area. I called several here in Knoxville and they are scared of it. Thanks I just cant stand the thought of not driving her in this wonderful June weather.
