So I dissassembled the rear suspension this weekend, I'm having the springs re-arched and having another leaf added, I went to my local speed  shop and ordered a set on Comp Engineering adjustable drag shocks for the back and polyurethane bushings for the springs and shackles ( I have a real bad problem with tire spin and wheel hop)  now my question was this: I was looking at the stock radius rods and I was thinking about making new ones, adjustable ones with left and right hand thread spherical rod ends so that i could try to bring the pinion angle down a bit does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?

I have adjustable rods, but mine is an '80. You might try some of the more popular suppliers. Here're a couple ta git cha starded.

A lot of good aftermarket, and restore parts. They have a dept. for each, C1 thru C6, parts and manuals.

if your running slicks with too fast of rebound it will do that but you pinion angle will have a lot to do with it all find sombody that you know(at the track with a good reputation) and ask him to set it up for you unless your sure its perfect right now.
