Right Rear Wheel Noise (Clicking) Hi, I have a 1980 and the problem that seems impossible to solve. At first it was a clicking noise that got louder and louder and i discovered it was bad U-Joints, which i changed both on the right axle. Shortly afterwards the noise returned so i changed both on the Left Rear, with no change i went and did the driveshaft too. Noise still there, i then again replaced both on the right rear axle and the noise disappeared for the first 10 miles and now is back and gets louder the more i drive. Forward, backward, slow or fast. Is very constant and some who have listened said it sounds like it is every 180 degrees. Have checked E-brake shoes and pads etc. Replaced both Calipers, Rotors, Pads. HELP NEEDED Thanks Dave*

The 1980 Corvette had a problem with an over machined part in the rear. My 1980 was
fixed with a set of washers under warranty. Apparently, the joints loosened up under
stress and what you hear is the part moving in/out as the axels rotate. It took Chevy
3 months to figure out what was wrong and come up with a fix.
