Just about time to replace my brake pads and rotors. Starting to do some research and have a couple questions. First, are the C5 ZO6 brakes the same as a standard C5? I believe the answer is yes, please confirm. Also, what pad material are the brake pads from the factory?
Any recommendations on pad and rotor replacements. My Z06 is not a daily driver. I put a few miles on it a month, but do a couple track days per year so I want something less than race but more than street. Was thinking HAWK HPS. Anyone have experience with those on a Vette?
As far as rotors, thoughts on standard vs slotted vs drilled? I''m leaning toward just going OEM, I''m not sure I buy all the "allows degassing of pads" and "helps cooling" stories.
