I had a C4 and drove a C5 and the ride was much better in the C5, Now I'm looking at a C6 and wonder how the ride compares to a C5?

Thanks

It's about the same.  I drove my C5 (which rides pretty much like stock despite the mods) and a standard and a Z51 '06 back to back and noticed only a little difference - much less than, say, that between my vette and my Porsche.

big diff. [my opine] .ive an 01 and 07 z,the 01 steering feels like a truck beside the 07. the c6 feels much better on the highway.when i bought the c5 i thought it was the next best thing compared to white bread but the c6 is better. i had a 65 ,74, and 75 they all felt like a skateboard on plywood.my 01 has 118 k on it and the 07 has 15 k so i use them

Thanks for the comments. Do you have a comparison between a coupe and convertible C6?

Thanks

The C6 ride on good roads, even with the run flats, is quite good.  On bad roads it kind of jumps around and you need to keep a grip on the wheel.  I don't know how squeaky and leaky the coupes are, but my 2007 C6 Convertible is tight and there are no wind whistles.  No water leaks, until you open the door in the rain, at which time the roof always empties onto your left pants leg.  There are really no squeaks with the convertible, although what it will be like when it has 40,000 miles on it (mine has 9,300) will be revealed in due course.  Wind noise at speed with the top up is greater than with my 2004 BMW 330ci convertible.  When there is a cross wind the top starts booming, something the Bimmer never did.

But in nice weather, nothing beats putting the top down.  At highway speeds with the windows up and the top down you can enjoy the sound system, use the OnStar phone or carry on a conversation with your passenger.  All while enjoying the sun and smelling the fresh cow dung as you drive through the countryside.  Not to be missed.

Everybody is going to have their own perception and personal preference.  At the end of the day your probably going to have to drive both cars back to back and see which one you like better.  A member at my church has both a C5 and C6 and he says the C6 is absolutely amazing compared to the C5.  Just all around better feeling car.  Good luck.
