I own a '92 vette with the fx3 suspension option. Yesterday my service ride control light came on. I've tried to clear the code, but of course not. I've measured the distance from the center of the rim to the beginning of the hood on both front tires, the left is 15" and the right is 15.5".
I measured the rear and both sides were the same.
Also on the left-front shock, towards the bottom, there is an area that looks like its been rubbing on the top half of the shock. The left shock seems to be about 1/8" out of center. This problem seems to be obvious, but any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is old and you may not have the car anymore but I've had the same ongoing problem with my '91. It seems to be in the actuators. After replacing most of my actuators (very expensive) now the gear at the top of the Bilstein shock is bad. Of course you cannot just change the tiny gear.
