Relatively new motor, only used occasionaly to see if the wipers work. Fuse is good. When switched on, nothing happens. I can hear a slight click inside the switch when turned on. Access door does not open. Override switch will not open the door either but the headlight doors will open with that override switch. I can open the wiper door by going thru the vacuum actuator. Asking for some ideas from some of you gurus out there. Car sits a lot, especially in the winter, but I do start it up now and then. I do not have a trouble shooting manual but will get one if you can't help me here. Thanks, j

You might want to check the actuator for the dooror the tubing. One or both may bad. If your headlights are opening I would guess that would be the problem.

Check out
http://www.corvette-101.com . I don't have the vacuum operated wiper panel as mine is an '81, but the site has all the trouble shooting info for the head lights, tank and all other vacuum system for the C3. I'd say that you could figure it out with the info there. Good luck.

Thanks tj, Some one went to a lot of effort there. He had some great info on the headlights. I may be missing something there but I found nothing on the ws wipers. j

Check the ground that goes to the bolt on the bellhousing. Should be a large ring terminal and a black wire going to it. Took me a long time to find that on mine. Replaced the switch and found out that was not the problem. Some times that wire gets connected to the starter, not a good move. It often breaks at the ring terminal. Easy fix if that's the issue.

Sorry Alive69, I thought you were having trouble with wiper cover not opening. That is vacuum actuated, no? Thought you were looking for "vacuum and elec." info alike. As for the wiper motor not operating, you'd have to go from the switch to the motor with a multi-meter following the elec. diagram in the manual. I figured that after checking out the vacuum info at that site, you'd beable to isolate the vacuum lines/circuit for the wiper cover. Sure sorry it was all no help.

This is exactly one of the problems mine had. Got it working thanks to PG.
