I always thought that the ZO6 was a little bit of a waste of money. Hear me out on this. The c6 vette is such a beast in its own right that I just couldn't rationalize spending 10-20k more for "a little" more HP , I mean how much difference could it make ? Plus I have always loved convertibles (owned my first at age 16 and never looked back) There is nothing like dropping the top on a bright sunny day/warm summer night. Plus it's like a rite of spring on the first nice day of the year. Also, I never liked some of the diff. b/t the c6 and zo6 (from pics) like the hood scoop and side flares, diff wheels ect... Then my uncle got a machine silver 2008 ZO6 and I took it for a "spin" the other day and all I can say is WOW! I couldn't believe the diff. in acceleration. I was blown away by it. Plus I loved the look of it sooooooo much more in person. I don't think pictures do it justice. It looks so masculine and the color is awesome. Now I haven't had mine out since Nov. so part of it might have been the thrill of being back in the driver seat, but It was an awesome experience. I am looking forward to driving it again and maybe testing my Z-51 vs. it. Now if I could just get past the convertible thing and somehow convince my wife I need a faster car, Hmmm ?
