Smaller is better, C6
While only a short time into the reign of the new emperor of the Corvette
name, the C6 has proven to be, without a doubt, the best yet. The flip up
headlights are gone, giving way to a molded, more European look like that of
a Ferrari. The car's overall size has been decreased, and lightened for
added handling abilities, and with the 400 horsepower this easily crushes
any factory baseline Corvette, and most of the special high performance
models as well, and this is still only a base model. Running the quarter
mile in the mid twelve second range makes it the fastest Corvette ever, and
with the new design to the body and suspension, this is also the most
capable. General motors has delayed the C6 Z06, but with promised
performance numbers such as 500 horsepower stock, the American public
eagerly awaits the release of what will be, by many opinions, one of the
greatest American performance cars ever made, if not worldwide.
