What's a guy or girl to do?

Well, I'm takin' my spare time and goin' Gold Prospectin'.
After 20 years, I'm finally gonna put my geology degree to work.
Been studing up on techniques and now I'm off to the wilds of the North West, ( North East Calif. ), and the wife is goin' with me.
I learned how to pan from my G-pa when I was a kid. Made a sluice box in the metal shop at work and can't wait to get out doors. Joined a prospecting club and have several claims that I will be able to work. I even plan on picking up a couple of claims myself. It's hard work, but a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

Ya see, our plant has been cut to 4 days a week and that gives me 3 day weekends.
With gold at over $950 an ounce I just can't pass up this opportunity.
Gonna try to make the best of a bad situation.

Actually, the "Mother Lode" has been found, at least that's what it is called. I'll be working the ancient Terciary river beds. They are the rivers from several thousands of years ago, the sources of what is called the "Mother Lode". There is a lot of detail to explain just what the source is and I'd have to write a book to cover it for the most part. LOL
