Glad to find this forum as I appreciate all the information everyone seems so willing to share. As an introduction, I've been a Corvette owner since 1961, when I purchased a '59 283ci 3spd for $2100. Had to wait another year before I was old enough to get a license and drive it. Next was a '64 convertible small-block 4-spd, followed by a '67 roadster w/ side exhaust (which I still own and drive-summers only). The progression continued with a '79 t-top and a '02 convertible. Both of those eventually morphed into a new '06 Velocity Yellow Z51 convertible which I just picked up on Jan 6,06.

Must be something in the blood.......

Welcome to the site, and congrats on your recent purchase. Of all the Vettes you have owned, which has been your favorite?

Thanks - The '67 roadster was a blast when I was a lot younger, and now all these years later, it's even more fun (also I don't HAVE to rely on it for transportation, just FUN). It's a little bit of work - the constant shifting in heavy city traffic and the lack of power steering still sucks. But the LOOKS and comments push all that to the back burner and I'm a twenty-something again!!


But I'll tell you, this '06 is really something else! Can't wait for better weather to see what 400hp is all about.......

I know how you feel, everyday I say I can't wait for the weather to get warmer so I can take the targa top off and just cruise through town.
