I own a set and don't even have a SBC....oh wait...I have two 4 bolt bare blocks stored....hey that gives me an idea....ought oh! wingman1 01-22-2010, 07:09 PM My alltime favorite chevy sm.block cyl.head is the steel (BowTie AnglePlug) heads.with the raised runners big breathing valves. and big springs will acomidate the big cubic inch sm.blocks. i am running a set on my 77c-3 .(stroker tunnel ram 2 4s.) Pro comp has came out with simular alum, castings that flow about the same as the bowtie that i am trying on a 406 roller engine i have built 4 my 70 chevy c-10 pickup. they are approx.50lbs lighter and the cost is around 900.00. so far they are holding up great. these are the first alum.heads i have ever ran. The (steel) Chevy Bowtie Angle PLUG Heads have been on the vette since i built the stroker in 1997 with no problems whatsoever. and thats the heartbeat in my garage. |
