The fitting on the back of the compressor is broke off. It is the hose that runs back towards the firewall near the evaporator. After much studying it looks like a bear of a job to replace that hose. Has anyone ever replaced this hose or had the hose spliced? Would it have to be crimped with the original type fittings or could a ****** splicer be slid inside the hose and hose clamps used?
