last year just as i put it away the service light came on for the traction controll. i pulled the car out of storage and have put 200 miles on it since and have not seen the light. now i did unhook the battery when i put it away. will this erase the code? if thier was a problem i would think the light would come back on. 3 year warranty is up at the end of may, should i not worry about it.dealer is 60 miles away, i dont want to bring it in if i dont have too.

unhooking the battery did clear the code.... but if the code hasn't come back, then the problem isn't there.

sometimes even just a good jolt can cause the ecu to throw a code for a non-existent problem. clearing the memory and seeing if it comes back is the best way to know for sure...
