Well I finally got my Pioneer AVIC-N1 installed in the Vette (had it in my Mustang). I also did a JL Audio XR653-CS 3-way component set in the front with the tweeters flush mounted by the door handles. In the rear I went with one of JL Audio XR650-CXi coaxials. It sounds pretty good, but I still need to get an amp and sub installed. Here are some pictures.

Well I didn't do the install myself, I had a local shop (Vivid Motorsports) handle the work for me. But I do know that you have to replace your factory speakers to work with an aftermarket head unit (you can probably make it work with the Bose speakers, but it easier to just change them from what I understand, and I could be wrong).

How is the sound quality after getting rid of the bose? I put a in dash dvd in my denali and I didn't like the sound so I ended up switching back to factory radio again. Afraid to do it to my car now.

I have a pioneer avh4900 dvd flip out with pioneer 6.5 in the door and 2 10inch kickers powered by a rockfort fosgate amp and its plenty enough sound quality and hits hard.
