I've got a boy who's about to turn 1 and make the switch out of his infant car seat.

I'm leaning towards a Recaro car seat (if I can't get one, at least I can get him one...) Does anyone have any experience with these?

Also, I noticed that there are "child seat tether" options - http://www.c5registry.com/Production/2003/

Anyone know what those are like? Where does it allow the tether to mount to?
