Hi
I need to replace the front bumper cover on my 73 convertible. The urethane bumpers are original but very expensive. Should I spend the extra money or go with the flexiglass or fiberglass bumpers? I'm not very concerned about originality but I am concerned about how it fits and looks. Also, where should I go to buy body parts like this?

hi tonyb ,I am replacing front and rear bumpre covers on my 75 ,Im going to get them from ACI-American Custom Industries 1-800-822-8020 or www.acivette.com They are having a big sale starting 3-27-06 lasting for 3 days I talked to them a month ago and they said it would be worth the wait. I just dont know if I should go with flex fit or fiberglass the cost isnt much more for flex but I dont know whitch one to go with! Gotta make up my mind soon 27th is next week! My car has the original urethan now but they are in sad shape.
If I dont go with ACI my next place would be EcKlers . good luck TJ

I personally would go with the urethane, simply for the fact that it has the ability to give better than the fiberglass. If you just so happen to hit a curb or any other hard object for that matter the fiberglass has the chance to break/shatter where as the urethane my just dent in and be easier to fix. Just my 2 cents.
