i got into my car and started it my wheel was turned all the way and all of the sudden a big BOOM went of and my wheel spun so i put it on the lift and the piece that the slave cylinder pushes up against on the frame, went through a piece of my frame. so now i have to weld it up. idk it just sucks

you need to get under that car and check it out real good. you might have alot more issues with her if a part went through the frame due to rust.

Sounds like the control valve has some sticky check valves, flush the power steering system and/or replace the control valve.

it happened to my friends 82 as well
