My girlfriend and I went out for Fat Tuesday downtown. We suspected that she was pregnant, so she didn't have anything to drink.

I had a few drinks and gave her the keys. It was about 1am.

Well, the car got sideways on a curve in the road (might have been ice) and spun into a light pole.

Here area few small pics

We are ok. She had a concussion and we both had some bruises.

Insurance totalled the car. I got almost the amount I originally paid for the car on May 29th 2006. The settlement was only about $500 short of that amount. It more than paid off the loan.

That was possibly the worst day of my life. I also lost my step dad to cancer (lymphoma) that afternoon :(

To make it better, I bought a Monterey Red 2006last week. Its a 3LT with paddle shifters. Titanium grey interior. I like this car. Its more comfortable than the Z06 and nearly as quick.

slvr,

Sorry to hear about your step dad. What a messed up day. I'm glad that you and your GF are ok.

How do you like the paddles compared to the six? Put up some photos of the C6 when you get a chance.

Oh man... I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your step dad, my friend. That's terrible news, and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through all this.

I am also totally saddened to hear of the loss of the Z06. Thank GOD everyone is OK!! A real testament to how well built these cars truly are. We all can't wait to see some pictures of your new ride, now! Best wishes. :)

Yeah, but he's lucky: you can replace cars -- they're just machines, after all. But yourself, and girlfriends and babies are sort of more precious and difficult to replace.
