Hello all, I have been a Ford man for the past many, many years. I recently lost my Roush Mustang in an accident and upon looking around the market for a replacement car, I told myself that I was not going to limit myself at just a Ford product. I looked at and drove just about every cool car you can imagine, but at the end of the process I found that the best money spent was on - well you know what that is if I'm posting on this forum. So without further delay, here are the specs...

So far I LOVE IT!. A little quiet for my tastes right now, but that will soon change with the addition of a new catback system.

I was a ford guy aswell and my stang was hit just like yours was. The vette looks soooooo much sexier than the stang ever did.

Well the "whole" story is a little more amusing than me just going from Ford to Chevy due to a wreck.

In a nutshell, I have a buddy that has a built 03 ZO6 with numerous mods, including a body kit (I think he called it a tiger shark rear end). Well, I had the Roush Stage1 with a Whipple supercharger with 12lbs of boost. I had the Roush dynoed at 511hp to the wheels. Everyone that we work with wanted to see who was the fastest so we went to the track with several people that were there to watch. First run --- I got the jump on him at the light, horrible 60 foot times for both of us. We both had absolutely no traction in the first three gears. I had the ZO6 the entire time by about 3-4 car lengths until I hit the 1000 foot mark on the track. At that point, an aftermarket water line let go and sprayed the contents of the radiator onto the track. When I shifted into fourth, the tires went up in smoke and thats all she wrote. I went through the lights sideways at 110mph and immediately hit the retaining wall head on at about 100mph. Well I beat that pesky vette...... sorta.

I'm wondering to myself though,, hmmmm, wonder how much hp I'll get with a blower on this new car??:D

I bet that was a wicked 'Stang. like to see it. too bad it's toast. But...now you have a vette and your gonna love it. Welcome to the greatest vette site goin'. Lots of great folks here and most love any kinda muscle car. Cheers

My regular C5 nonZ06 is putting down 460 ish hp and 460 ish tq to the wheelson only 5 psi of boost with a vortech Supercharger. I also have exhaust and a few other minor power adders. I'm guessingyou could expect as much hp as your cobra on less boost than your cobra; 12 psi is crazy.[8D]

Welcome to the site..good to hear you are ok after such an accident...but everything happens for a reason and now you have a great looking Vette. I love that color combination.

Well.... I bought a 2006 Mustang GT new last year - my first Ford product in 30 years. I've always been a GM guy (I've owned GMC & Chevy trucks, Fieros and a 2001 Camaro (now for sale since we bought the Vette. Wanna buy it?;)).

Heck, I even have a Dodge truck..
