Hi all, I can't erge anyone enough, that if your anywhere close to Bowling Green KY to make a point to go take the Factory tour and to see the National Corvette Museum. We drove from Cato WI and it was worth every mile. The factory was very cool. I was unaware but when you order a new Vette you can pay $500 more and walk along with your Vette as it's being built! And to be the first one to turn the key to start it up!! Then take delivery of it at the NCM. How cool is that?!!
At the museum they have a spot they call the "Nursery" where the new (only a day or two old)Vettes that will be delivered are. Also they have the "One and "only" 1983 Corvette. Yes there is only one in existance and it's at the museum.
I'm not a Corvette expert at all but I do love them, and I learned alot about Corvettes and their history. Once you see the new Z06 with its flared rear fenders and added vents in the body work you can't help but fall in love with the Corvette all over again. I did ask them at the factory and the Z06 has a base price $20,000 more than the C6. But you know I think the C6 would do just fine with its 409HP, although the 505HP 427 c.i.d of the Z06 would be very cool. Ahhh, decisions, decisions.
