Any suggestions for a moldy/musty odor coming from ac/heat vents? I am currently changing the filter and checking drain pan. Any helpful hints and experience would help.

Sorry, just learning how to use this---yeah, you can say that. It is definitely driven once a month. Maybe every 3rd week--and out of the blue, the musty smell. Not coming from carpet, definitely from vents.

I too am getting the same odor. I was going to ask the same question. I drive my car everyday and just whithin the last week or two this has been happing. Hopefully someone out there will know what to do. I noticed that you stated your changing the filter and cleaning the drain pan. This is my first vette, where are they located on the car? I would like to do the same.

I was about to say that it may be the carpet and tell you to check your top to see if it is leaking, cause some rain water might have snuck in......if its not the carpet I'm not really sure what it could be.

That odor is tough to get out. I tried some stuff made specifically for vent odor and it did nothing except soak my carpets. Then I tried Poorboy's Natural Look and it did a much better job but did not totally get rid of the smell until after a couple of times using it. Natural Look contains biocides that help prevent mold and mildew. You have to spray into your vents and then go outside the car and spray into the cowl as well, make sure your fresh vent is open during this.

I had the same problem in a S10 I used to own.

Try using Lysol. Spray it in the air vent from the outside while you have the A/C or heat on.

If I remember right, it took a few times for it to work.
