Default 61 removal of gas sending unit

Was wondering if anyone can tell me if in order to replace the gas tank sending unit on a 61, do you drop the tank from below, or is there an enterance from the trunk area?
Thanks,
B

You remove the gas tank cover under the soft top deck lid. The sending unit is accessed from the top of the tank. The most time consuming task is removing the screws that secure the tank cover.

Snake's correct that it is very easy. If I recall, both the gas tank cover and the sending unit cover have a bead of sealer (caulk) around them to keep the fumes out and seal everything. The caulk is available at all the corvette specialty websites.
