Newbie looking for cruise/speedo help. 81 speedo doesn't work, but tach does. Pulled the speedo cable off the transducer and spun by hand....can't get the speedo to respond(maybe can't spin fast enough?), but the odometer does. Lower cable does turn and connection to tranny looks okay, but upper end of lower cable looks strange (not like a "normal" speedo cable end). Spinning with a drill from the lower end of lower cable does not move odometer or speedo at all. (yeah, I tried it in both directions). Was going to pull the speedo out, but maybe this transducer is toast? And would it bugger up the upper end of the lower cable? Car has been sitting for 5-6 years indoors,...would the transducer just freeze up with no use?

Pulled the transducer out. Moving the lower cable input with a screwdriver moves the upper cable output. Putting the lower cable on and spinning, I get no movement on the upper cable output. Seems to be a bad lower cable. Any good suggestions on where to get a new lower cable?
