my 1990 conv door ajar light will not go out, changed both door switchs now what help please

 

got mine sunday night around 8 pm looked her over went in the house. when looked outside check on her 30-40 minutes after looking her over saw dome lights were on ones behind seat on pillar and the two white plastic ones the doors.

This puzzled me few days because had to keep disconnecing the battery everytime i'd start car to hear the COOL motor HUM LOL puzzled me for few days.

anyway I GOT DETERMINED AFTER 3-4 DAYS THAT I WAS NOT DISCONNECT BATT EVERY TIME WANTED HEAR HER RRUMBLE I sprayed wd40 in hole that shaft goes in on the head light pull out switch,
worked switch in and out turned it back and forth.

**what i think did the trick was closed the two doors one at time turned key on each one till the "door handle would not open the door which is locked i believe"

anyway closed to doors in few seconds pillar lights went off the ones on door the white plastic ones had to push each one to turn them off evidently turned them on messing around trying to get them to go OFF LOL
