I've been looking for a 02-04 Z-06 to convert for SCCA track days and possibly some time trialing/autocross as well. It doesn't have to be a trailer queen because a roll hoop and harnesses, and possibly a new seat, are going in. Searching the internet, I stumbled across this thing:

It claims to be a "COPO" vette, delivered from the factory with a roll cage, and built for Watkins Glen Speedway. Hmm.... I found a post from 2006 of one of the previous owner's from new york that was selling it, also mentioning that it had a roll hoop, and that he did some on track instructing in the car as well. However, no metion of the "COPO" angle, which i think might have been something he would have mentioned. The car has COPO stickers someone put on it. Here is the VIN #:

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Knowing that it was previously tracked some, and also that it has a roll cage, I think it might be hard for them to unload. Maybe I can get a smokin deal on it, but if there is something fishy with the history, I'm inclined to steer clear...
