Default 1967 L79 327 350hp Rebuilt Engine For Sale

This rebuilt engine by Muir Engine Services, LLC is a 1967 Corvette L79 327 cubic inch 350 horsepower motor. There are no engine pad numbers.

The block is a 3892657 casting dated D 24 7 and has been freshly bored 30 over. The pistons are new TRW forged domed. The block main caps have been align bored. The crank is forged steel 4577 with freshly turned journals. The main, rod and cam bearings have been replaced as well as the oil galley plugs and freeze plugs. The new oil pump and screen are Melling. The block has the two tapped holes by the oil filter for the clutch bracket. There are four accessory holes on the lower front of the block (none on the heads). The original crankcase breathing system has been retained with the canister in the lifter valley and a reproduction crankcase breather tube by the distributor. The oil pan and balancer have been replaced.

The heads are double hump 3890462 with 2.02/1.60 valves. The dates are B 3 7 and B 14 7. The heads were jet cleaned, blasted and magnafluxed. New are the bronze guides, stainless valves, Z28 springs, 3 angle seats and retainers. The rocker studs have been pinned.

The new valvetrain consists of a Crane blueprinted cam to the L79 specs of 222/222 duration and .447/.447 lift. The pushrods, lifters, rockers and timing chain have been replaced.

The intake is the Winters aluminum 3890490 with the snowflake logo. The oil fill tube is a chrome reproduction with the PCV fitting. The water neck is cast iron.

The valve covers are NOS Lester 3767493 with the casting flaw thru the O in Corvette.

This motor can be any of the L79’s by replacing the valve covers ( except Chevy II).

The lift plate and engine cradle shown are included.

Local pickup at 48189 preferred but I will transport to a local dock for a $100 crating fee. Buyer to arrange shipping from there.

Price is $3600.
