I replaced the oil pressure sending unit on my 88 Corvette. Now, the oil pressure reads 80 psi all the time. I exchanged a new oil pressure sending unit with another new oil pressure sending unit and even tried putting the old one back in to no avail. The old one was erratic. It took a long time before the oil pressure started to drop on the digital dash. But, they all read 80 psi now.


I was wondering what I can check for to see whether it is the oil pressure sending unit or a bad ground or perhaps the wire is shorted out.


Is the oil temperate gauge supposed to read LO all the time. It has never said anything other than that since I have owned the car. Is there another sensor that reads the oil temperature on the car
