Generally, a minor timing adjustment will take care of that. After sitting for a long time, a tune up would be in order, plus oil change, and change all filters.

Hi Corelandfire fighter, first of all you have too long a name, and I woneder what you do for a liveing? But wlecome to the best website for Q & A's about C 3 Vetts.
Satrship is correct, lets get the basicks in spec. a mojor tune up and then lets look further.
On my 74 there is an electronic solenoid, when I trun off the key it lets the throttles cllose all the way. This stops the diesel effect, I'm not sure if you year Vette works that way? Hope this helps, anyone else no for sure?
