Default Manual to Power

I'm converting my 71 from manual brakes to power, I see that there are two bolts inserted onto the firewall under the existing M/Cyl. Can anyone answer if the holes where the bolts are will align with the 4 bolt replacement booster required to go power?
Any additional feedback /advice is most appreciated.

Thank you!!

Default RE: Manual to Power

I would assume they would. My 72 has 4 bolts for the booster and I would think the firewalls are all the same. Good luck getting the nuts on. It's tight as a mother under there!

Default Manual to Power

I'm doing the same thing with my '73 and I have a couple of problems. First, the spacing on the 4 bolts of the booster (top to bottom centerline) is about 3/8" more than the bolts spacing on my firewall and the actuator position on the booster is centered while the hole in my firewall is closer to the top (between the top mounting position of the master cylinder when it was manual). I was told by other Corvette enthusiasts that this modification is common and is just a "bolt-on", however, this appears to require some major work. I just confirmed with Autozone the booster I have is for a '73 with power brakes-Rich, what am I missing?
