Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself to my corvette brothers and sisters out there.
Mine is a 1979 L-82 Turbo 350 New motor new interior nice paint and brand new rubber all the way around. I just picked her up about a month ago and am really getting into the thought of having the muscle car I always wanted. Feel free to drop me a line anytime and hopefully I won't have any problems with the car that together we can't figure out.
Thanks,

Welcome to the boards and congrats on your new vette! Living in the Houston area myself, I have to tell you I feel your pain. I purchased my triple black C6 a little over a month ago and it hasrained almost everyday since.

Its definitly been a battle with the weather. I am trying to decide which corvette club to join in the area maybe you have some input on that. We should get some pics of the cars together sometime that would be cool to have the "old school" and the "new school" vette's together.

Here is a question for you, did you change the ring and pinion in your vette to a 3.07 or did it come that way stock? I can't figure out what size gear I have in the rear axle and I am not sure what options there were in 79 I do know that it does take a second to get into the power so i am wondering what possible gear size is back there. Any light you can shed on this would be helpfull.
