Default Bose Stereo Repair

Anyone have a rough idea of what the cost would be to rehab a Bose CD Stereo for my 92 and where or who does this? Thanks

Hello,
I have a '92 I bought a few weeks ago and I am in the process of changing the Delco / Bose CD-Cassette unit out. The unit works fine, but I work in the mobile electronics field and I am going to install a DVD w/ 6.5" TFT screen in its place. I will sell you the CD-Cassette and control unit for a reasonable price. I am going to keep the four powered speaker modules for now though.

I just used Doctor Dons' They are out of Texas...my CD now plays excellant and rwCDs' as well...Their address is :

Doctor Don's
Professional Audio Services
225 FM 247
Huntsville Texas 77320 or call 936-435-1811

They actually got the radio back to me repaired faster than when I initially sent it to them. The CD player repair is $130.00 plus $15.00 for shipping x 2.

Nick, thanks for the offer. I am going to try to clean the CD player tomorrow and see if thatl helps. If not, I will get back to you about your offer. Again, thanks!

And thanks to Potsietp for the info! Will definitely keep that in mind.

OK, pretty sure the CD player is toast. All else seems good. Could someone please tell me how to remove the system from the dash. Can't seem to figure it out on my own (gettin' old sucks - but better than the alternative!). Thanks in advance.

Default RE: Bose Stereo Replacement

I have a chance to buy a good used Clarion DRB5176 aftermarket CD Stereo with 6 speakers (2-45 watt, 2-100 watt & 2-150 watt) and Coustic Power Logic Amplifier with wires that was in a 1986 Corvette. I have a 89 vette. Price is $195.00. Is it a bad idea to purchase a used setup? Is this a good stereo?

Thanks,

Rocky
