You can take it to an Advance store and they will read the codes and tell you what is wrong. It's best to replace what is causing the error code or it will just return soon.

Is the light coming on as soon as you turn on the ignition? If you wait 30 seconds without starting the car does it go out?

I don't believe that there's any way to reset the ecm. It resets itself every time the car is turned off.

First thing I'd do is check the wiring to the oxygen sensors. If the ecm was fried, you'd know it because the car would be running a lot rougher.

depending on your state and how your car is inspected. I'd just pull the whole works out of there. Remove the bulb from the "check engine" socket, remove the air pump, EGR, etc. Give the car a little more power and doesn't seem to affect the performance at all. I've been running like this for years with no problems. Hey, with our 190 horsepower motors, we need to take everything we can!
