I like your side pipes!
I was thinking about putting them on my 74 but I have been hearing a lot of stories about people getting burned by them.

Yeah and those stories are all true.  You definitely have to develop the technique of swinging your legs out away from the car before putting your foot on the ground.   (Voice of experience, wear my side pipe burn scar with pride)

The '69 factory side pipes aren't as bad if you have the full set with the insulators.  Usually won't burn you unless you leave your leg on them too long.

Got hooked when in '63, a fraternity brother let me drive his brand new '63 white roadster. (small block, 4 spd).  Ten years later was financially able to buy a new '73.  Bought without A/C because based upon my experience with my '68 GTO, the #6 & #8 plugs were so hard to change.  Big mistake!  Here in the Midwest in the summer when you get a rainstorm and it's 90+ outside, it's like a sauna in a Corvette w/o A/C and the windows up.  Picked up a complete system from a wrecked '73 and put it in.  Also have added factory power windows, '69 factory side exhaust, pace car spoiler, American Racing Vector wheels, and the map lite mirror.  Tried a '65 Rochester Fuel Injection for awhile, but never could get it to idle right when hot.  Have since learned more about it and when I get the car back together and sorted out, will try the FI again because it really ran strong with it, just bad idle.

Apologize about the quality of the pic.  Scanned print as was taken before advent of digital cameras and car is not picture ready right now.

i have a c3 but i still love c2's much more, i  guess what made me decide to buy mine was the fact that no one in my high school has a vette, and the fact that when i test drove it i took it to my school and a girl told me that my car was hot and she wanted to lay on it naked

so i bought it
